Mal, a chartered accountant is the senior partner with the company and is responsible for audit and accountancy function. His role as audit partner ensures that clients receive an efficient, modern and cost effective audit/accounting service. Mal specialises in advice for the owner-managed business and has a wide range of experience in various industry sectors. As part of our service to existing clients Mal has completed numerous business incorporations and dissolutions, valuations and Inland Revenue Investigations. Mal is also an active participant in Community Development being involved in a number of Community Groups.

Conaill McGrady BSSc (Acc), FCA, AMIMC - Partner
Conaill, a chartered accountant and associate member of the Institute of Management Consultants, is the partner responsible for the Management Consultancy Department. Prior to joining the firm, Conaill worked within one of the largest consultancy firms in Belfast. He has a broad range of experience specialising in the owner-managed business sector. His expertise includes business plans, financial planning, banking reviews and feasibility studies. The firm has also completed various assignments incorporating Community Development issues which have required economic appraisals and feasibility studies.

Seamus McLernon FCA – Partner
Seamus, a business graduate of Trinity College Dublin, trained with one of the larger Belfast practices and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1981. He then worked in general practice as an audit senior and manager before joining John Graves & Company in 1994 as a partner. Since merging with M B McGrady & Co in 2005, Seamus who is based at the Belfast office specializes in family run companies in a wide range of industry sectors for whom audit, accountancy, corporate and personal tax and consultancy services are provided. More recently, his portfolio has increasingly included inheritance tax planning and business incorporations.

K Smyth BSc(Econ), FCA, CTA – Partner
Kyran is a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser and is partner responsible for providing tax services. He has previously worked in general practice and for two of the ”big four“ international accountancy practices. Kyran has particular experience in providing advice to sole traders, partnerships, contractors, subcontractors, retailers, farmers, solicitors, doctors, retired individuals, landlords and limited companies.
He has spent much of his time specialising in taxation, issues involving personal tax, business tax, company tax, inheritance tax, VAT, PAYE and HM Revenue and Customs and enquiries.

Roy Creelman BSSc, FCA - Partner
Roy, a chartered accountant, is an Audit Partner with the company and is responsible for a diverse portfolio of both clients and assignments. His role is to ensure that clients receive proactive business advice that is tailored to their own circumstances and needs. Roy, a Business/Economics graduate from Queens University Belfast, trained with an international firm of accountants and has been in practice in Belfast for the last 20 years, specialising in corporate clients. More recent assignments, which have been driven by client needs, include profit improvement, benchmarking and exit strategies.
