My role within the Newtownards office includes the completion of client VAT returns, payroll submissions and secretarial work.

I joined M.B. McGrady & Co in 2013 after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and achieving a postgraduate qualification in Advanced Accounting. I am now a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
I am currently involved in accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, tax, audit, VAT and payroll.
Gemma Donaghy
Gemma is a Chartered Accountant with over eight years of post-qualification experience. She works with clients across a variety of sectors, providing tailored accounting support, including corporation tax, personal tax, and VAT compliance and reporting.
A certified Xero Advisor, Gemma has extensive expertise in cloud-based accounting solutions. She specialises in setting up Xero for new users, migrating clients from other platforms, delivering training, and offering ongoing support. Her goal is to help clients use Xero efficiently, freeing up time to focus on growing their business.
Gemma holds a BSc in Mathematics from Queen’s University Belfast and brings a strong analytical approach to her work. She is committed to building strong client relationships and takes pride in delivering a personal, hands-on service, ensuring each client feels supported and understood throughout their financial journey.
