Leonard Da Vinci Programme
This programme may be of interest to our business clients in the greater Belfast area. The information has kindly been provided by Karen at Ashton Recruitment. The Leonardo Da Vinci Programme funds practical projects in the field of vocational education and training.
The programme is funded through the EU Commission and acting as a host organisation is free of charge. The graduates are really keen to find a suitable work placement so that they can develop their knowledge and experiences within the workplace. They want to understand real-time business demands and learn how to focus on performance targets and goals. An opportunity to work with you means they can build on their communication skills, and develop their English from a commercial/personal perspective.
The participants have already gone through an English exam before the selection but to support this, after their arrival in Belfast on 20th of May, they will complete an English language refresher course, which lasts 2 weeks. I’m sure you’ll be keen to meet the graduate in person so I’ll call you beforehand to arrange a site visit during this 2 week window. The placement then starts on the 3rd of June and will last 12 weeks, finishing on 22nd of August.
Arranged before their arrival, the graduates are covered by Liability Insurance policy as well as a Health Insurance policy covering accidents and sickness. They will also be issued a local transport travel card which covers the greater Belfast area.
